Protect the Rights of the Faith-Based Community

We all looked forward to the press conference of Prime Minister Scott Morrison, a conference where he would introduce the new measures for this new phase in the coronavirus crisis where we are going for a gradual reopening of economic and social activity. In fact, after more than 1 month of total closure and confinement, social distancing, sacrifices and proven patience, the announcement of a progressive return to normalcy was expected from many.

Boycott Bonds for promoting toxic LGBTQI ideology

Popular underwear brand Bonds recently released a new “Pride” range which includes LGBTQ-themed clothing for newborns, young children and even dogs.

Released ahead of this year’s Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, the rainbow range directly supports LGBTQIA+ youth organisation Minus 18.

To coincide with the release, Bonds also launched an ‘Out Now’ campaign, celebrating the “coming out stories of queer Australians.”

Thank you for standing for Marriage and Religious Freedoms

Last week we saw the passage of the Marriage Amendment (Definition and Religious Freedoms) Bill 2017. This Bill changes the definition of Marriage from between a union of a “man and a woman” to a “union of two people.” Significantly, this Bill passed without any amendments which would have protected freedom of speech and religion for parents, individuals and professional clergy.

I stand with Margaret Court and freedom of speech in Australia

Since her public comments against same-sex marriage at the beginning of the year, Australian and International tennis legend Margaret Court has been subject to distasteful harassment and intimidation. Regardless of where people stand on the issue of same-sex marriage, respectful freedom of speech in Australia must be valued and protected.

Boycott Bras N Things promotion of Playboy branding and the objectification of women

With the death of Hugh Hefner last week many people, including women across the globe have been paying tribute to a man who “revolutionised publishing and helped usher in the sexual revolution with a vision of beauty, sophistication and the libertine lifestyle.” Leading Australian fashion lingerie retailer Bras N Things also jumped on the bandwagon describing Hefner as a man “that inspired us all”.

Darebin City Council seeking to silence ‘No’ campaigners in Marriage Debate

Darebin City Councillors will next week vote on an emergency motion which proposes to allow access to council facilities for same-sex marriage campaigners. The proposed motion follows the Federal government’s announcement of a September postal vote on the Marriage Act. As part of the council motion, ‘No’ campaigners will be barred from using council facilities and the council will issue a warning to local churches not to campaign against same-sex marriage.
