Enough is enough! Stop Islamic State Barbarism!
In December of last year, the Islamic State asked their twitter followers how it should execute the 26-year-old prisoner of war, Jordanian pilot, Muath Safi Yousef al-Kasasbeh. They proposed burning him alive. And, so, as the world now knows, that’s what happened. The vile images, distributed by social networks, display a horrible brutality and coldness.
The video begins with media images showing Jordanian participation in the US-led international coalition to combat the Islamic State.
Footage shows Al-Kasasbeh appear visibly beaten and recounting his capture. Then, the viewer sees professionally edited images of terrorist attacks, interspersed with images of the prisoner. The video then shows an orange prisoner’s suit in a cage.
As if that were not enough, subtitles like, "The Healing of Believers," are shown. Of course, this is absolute blasphemy. True Muslims would never “bless” or condone such an abomination!
Through this type of barbarity, the Islamic State aims to intimidate the countries that support the international anti-IS Coalition. In retaliation, Jordan has already warned that it will execute all prisoners of war from the Islamic State.
How long will the international community continue to monitor this inhumane depravity without doing anything? Please sign our petition to the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon, and call for urgent action to halt the brutal barbarism of radical Islam.
