Sympathy for the Devil? Tell FOX to cancel 'Lucifer'!
FOX Entertainment has launched a new series encouraging sympathy for the devil. Their upcoming show "Lucifer" glamorizes Satan for young and impressionable minds.
The online description of the dramatic television show reads: "Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar has abandoned his throne and retired to L.A., where he owns Lux, an upscale nightclub."
It continues: "Charming, charismatic and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things—wine, women and song—when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of Lux. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Compassion? Sympathy?"
The show portrays the demonic as funny, harmless, and even sympathetic.
Of course, the occult is not at all harmless. As more young people experiment with Ouija boards and games like "Charlie, Charlie," it would be irresponsible to encourage the Satanic as "harmless entertainment." Viewers should be told the truth about the wicked malevolence of the Devil, not be seduced into thinking he's a nice, friendly guy.
