UN Women is promoting abortion
The United Nation's 60th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is in progress right now, under the slogan "women's empowerment and its link to sustainable development."
Unfortunately, U.N. Women and powerful abortion lobby groups are trying to falsely promote abortion as a means of empowering women. Sign the petition to send a message to U.N. Women telling them to stop promoting abortion and to focus on what women really want!
According to some experienced international pro-life activists with whom we have spoken, this is the first time that abortion is being openly defended, without the usual diplomatic euphemisms. So open, in fact, that the U.N. Population Fund is sharing an event with Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the United States, which has been accused of harvesting and trafficking aborted baby body parts.
The U.N.'s Children's Organization, UNICEF even went so far as to promote abortion for pregnant girls. And they call themselves protectors of children! One event at the CSW addressed the role of women in fighting against Islamic terrorism. The conclusion? Women must stop being mothers in order to be captains of the police and army. Only then will the situation change, they said.
Mette Gjerskov, the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark and President of the Parliamentary Intergroup Network for Health and Reproductive Rights, told African nations that they need to legalize abortion in order to avoid the high rates of maternal and infant mortality (ignoring the fact that many countries that ban abortion have very low rates of maternal mortality). A great answer came from a doctor and NGO representative: "pregnancy is not a disease and abortion is not healthcare."
Women in many parts of the globe need basic necessities, such as food, water, shelter, or employment. Unfortunately "U.N. Women" only seems interested in giving them abortions.
Write a message to UN Women and send your complaint about their promotion of abortion. The meetings will continue until Thursday, March 24.
