Tell the New York Daily News: Stop Prayer Shaming!
Tell the New York Daily News that we will not give in to their prayer shaming.
Immediately following the horrific San Bernardino attack, Twitter and the mainstream media began prayer-shaming religious politicians and public figures, ridiculing public calls to prayer.
Christians in particular were told to “stop praying” and “start acting.”
The New York Daily News ran a cover story that read - in all caps - “GOD ISN’T FIXING THIS.”
In the story, they slam GOP candidates for “offering prayers instead of action.” (Even though Democratic politicians and candidates also offered their “thoughts and prayers,” only conservatives were singled out.)
This attack on prayer shows the true colors of the secular media. As the National Review points out, “there is no American demographic the Left despises more than Christian conservatives.”
They are guilty of the same misguided and empty rhetoric that they claim to stand against. They care more about attacking God and prayer than they do about comforting the innocent victims who were asking for prayer. In fact, all they are doing is praying to their own god—Big Government—to solve the problem of evil.
This prayer shaming goes against America’s political and religious heritage… it shows how far we are removed from our nation’s Christian foundations.
