Tell the NFL – Stop assaulting religious liberty!

Attention! The NBA has joined the NFL in bullying!

The NBA is threatening to remove the 2017 All-Star Game from Charlotte because North Carolina just passed a law requiring individuals to use the bathroom assigned to their biological sex.

This kind of blatant bullying is unacceptable! The NBA must stop threatening states immediately. Please stand up to the NBA and the NFL and ask them to stay in the business of sports, not regulating the way we live our lives.

************

The National Football League is threatening to pull out of the Super Bowl unless Georgia kills a religious liberty bill that would protect Christians from LGBT lawsuits.

The NFL stated that the religious liberty bill, that has been passed by both houses of the Legislature but still needs the signature of Gov. Nathan Deal, could have an impact on the selection process for the championship game in 2019 and 2020.

"NFL policies emphasize tolerance and inclusiveness, and prohibit discrimination based on age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other improper standard," league spokesman Brian McCarthy said. "Whether the laws and regulations of a state and local community are consistent with these policies would be one of many factors NFL owners may use to evaluate potential Super Bowl host sites."

Atlanta is one of the finalists for the next two Super Bowls to be awarded, along with New Orleans, Miami, and Tampa. The city has been considered a clear favorite because of its new retractable-roof stadium, set to open next year. However, the NFL threatens to punish Atlanta and its fans as part of its agenda to push their radical LBGT values on Georgia Christians.

Worse yet, this kind of bullying is nothing new for the NFL.

In 2014, Arizona was considering a similar piece of legislation that would have protected Christians from being forced to violate their convictions. But according to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello, allowing Christians to live in accordance with their faith would be “discrimination” and could not be tolerated.

The NFL threatened to take the Super Bowl away from Arizona, and a panicked legislature put religious liberty on the back burner.

This cannot be allowed to happen again. Please stand with Christians in Georgia and tell the NFL that we will not tolerate discrimination against people of faith! The NFL’s actions are unacceptable and disgraceful. The NFL should stick to the business of football, not curtailing religious liberty in America!

Stop assaulting religious liberty

Dear National Football League and National Basketball League,

It has come to my attention that you are threatening to remove the Super Bowl from Atlanta and are considering removing the All-Star Game from Charlotte unless Georgia and North Carolina bow down to the LGBT agenda.

NFL, you say Georgia has to kill their religious liberty bills that would protect Christians from LGBT lawsuits. NBA, you are forcing North Carolina to allow men in women's restrooms.

This is disgraceful. You have stated that "NFL policies emphasize tolerance and inclusiveness.” I would urge you to listen to your own words and emphasize tolerance towards Christians who hold sincere religious convictions.

This kind of bullying is inconsistent with your mission as sporting associations.

Atlanta is one of the finalists for the next two Super Bowls, and the city has been considered a clear favorite. Similarly, there is no reason that the Charlotte Hornets should not host the 2017 All-Star Game.

Please make your decision based on football and venue reasons, not the curtailing of religious liberty.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
