California Parents Know Best for Sex Ed
Stand together with other Californians. Sign our petition against the harmful comprehensive sexuality education curriculum that is plaguing California schools and eliminating parents’ rights.
Lawmakers in California are partnering with school districts to force students to learn a horrific sex education curriculum.
In 2015, the “California Comprehensive Sexual Health and HIV/AIDS Prevention Education Act” was wrongly renamed as the “California Healthy Youth Act” and lawmaker took the opportunity to make many revisions. Though the curriculum was updated in 2015, Californians are learning more details resulting from these changes as each year passes.
We learned of one frightening mandate this month through a letter from the Orange County Board of Education to parents, “parents who disagree with the instructional materials related to gender, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation may not excuse their children from this instruction.”
Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles, Physicians for Reproductive Choice, and the George Soros-connected Tides Center created an implantation toolkit for California teachers. This toolkit is designed to teach children:
- recommended practices for masturbation and sexual activity, including the use of sex toys and foreign objects, such as produce, for sexual enjoyment;
- gender identity, which includes asking children to embrace changing of genders;
- tips for hiding ‘sexting’ conversations or nude photos from law enforcement and parents; and
- downplaying the importance of abstinence.
We stand united in the fact that parents know best for their children! Not lawmakers and not school district officials. Sign our petition to let the school districts, state legislators, and Governor Jerry Brown know that you oppose this latest attack on children and parents’ rights.
The toolkit asks educators to pinpoint early adolescence as the age bracket to teach “masturbation,” “sexual fantasies,” “movement towards defining sexual identity,” and asks educators to “use health education materials with lots of pictures.” (Page C-3)
On page C-51, the toolkit gives further guidelines on sex toys: “What if you don’t have time or money to buy sex toys? Cucumbers, carrots, and bananas (with the peel) make great dildos. Just remember to use a condom!”
Above are only some examples from the curriculum. If you wish to review the “Sexual Health Toolkit” please click here: https://partnerships.ucsf.edu/sites/partnerships.ucsf.edu/files/images/SexualHealthToolkit2010BW.pdf
I warn you -- it is graphic.
